Testimonials

“I wanted to take a moment to walk you through what type of manager Rich Lombardo was for me at LaGuardia International Airport for Enterprise Mobility. I became Rich Lombardo’s direct supervisor in May 2021. At this time, the airport was still reeling from Covid effects on travel. A typical 150 person team was still whittled down to 60 employees. Rich worked tirelessly in a 24/7 operation to ensure his employees were utilized to their fullest potential, feeling positive and instilling a sense of pride and hope in them. His leadership which was his ability to motivate and communicate was unparalleled. His ability to see the field, assess the situation and create a plan with unwavering commitment to excellence was inspiring! During one of our companies most challenging situations it was leaders like Rich that gave us the ability to weather the storm and come out successful and ready for the next phase of mobility. I am immensely grateful for what he and his team achieved at that time.”

Matthew Lawlor, Regional Vice President, 24DD Northern New Jersey

“I had the pleasure of working closely with Rich Lombardo in my role as his HR Generalist from June 2020 through August 2022 during which time he served as a City Manager at LaGuardia Airport. Even after he transitioned into another opportunity within the company, we remained in regular contact through ongoing check-ins, which further highlighted his professionalism and commitment to growth.

Throughout his tenure, Rich consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and a willingness to put in the time and effort necessary to ensure operational and team success. He never hesitated to work extended hours or step in wherever needed to get the job done. What truly distinguishes him, however, is his genuine passion for leading and supporting a team. He approaches leadership with authenticity, energy, excitement, and a clear focus on collaboration while expecting a high level of performance.

Rich excels at building and fostering meaningful relationships with those around him, earning trust and respect from both peers and direct reports. His ability to connect with others, combined with his dedication and reliability, makes him an exceptional leader and a valued asset to any organization.”

Kathy Wagner Vogel, Generalist Manager, Human Resources, Enterprise Mobility

“I had the opportunity to work with Rich Lombardo during his time as an Area Manager, and he consistently distinguished himself through his ability to build strong relationships with both employees and key accounts. He understands that marketing is not just about visibility; it’s about creating trust and becoming an indispensable business partner in the marketplace. His genuine approach to connecting with people, whether it was a new employee or a long-standing client, helped drive employee retention, strengthen customer loyalty, and ultimately support sustained growth within the business. What always stood out to me was his mindset. He brought the right attitude, a strong work ethic, and a level of coachability that allowed him to continually evolve and lead others effectively. Rich has a rare ability to connect with just about anyone, and that skill makes him an incredibly valuable leader in any organization.”

Q & A

Why did you choose your profession?

I originally got into this profession because I knew someone that happened to work for the company already and they said it was a fantastic place to learn all necessary management skills to run an effective business. During my time with Enterprise, I was able to develop and sharpen my skills in all area of business with a heavy focus on Customer service, Profitability, Growth & Employee development.

Who are your main influences?

In my personal life my main influence came from my father, he taught me the value of hard work and what It means to earn what you have in life. I’ve been extremely lucky to have so many amazing influences in my professional career that it would be unfair to name just one, I have had many mentors over the years but all of them lived by the same professional values and that was “take care of your employees & customers first and growth & profits will follow”

What is your greatest accomplishment?

My greatest accomplishment isn’t an award but the ability to help develop and get members of my team promoted over the years, it’s a tremendous feeling to help others make it to a place they never thought possible.

What tools do you use?

I wouldn’t say I use specific tools at work but I do use certain core values on a day in and day out basis and one of my favorites is that great things happen when we listen to our customers and each other. Collaborative forward thinking is the best tool in business to achieve your goals.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your profession?

Leave any ego you have at the door and be open-minded and coachable. Every position you get in the company is a new opportunity to learn from a new manager, you can take the best skills/tools they have and add it to your toolbox and leave the things you don’t like behind as you get promoted in your career. This will help make you the best manager and version of yourself possible.
